I'm Hannah, and I got my first dog aged 3 - a beautiful boxer called Kaiser. He was followed by Lucy the Cocker Spaniel, she enjoyed solo outings to the shop next door to see if any penny sweets were going spare! My sister began showing Australian Silky Terriers from a young age, which gave me an insight into the showing world, and I still love going to Crufts! My first job was in a kennels and cattery, where I saw how stressful some dogs find the kennel environment. I worked on a farm for a number of years caring for horses, sheep and cattle, where I began dog sitting; big and small I love them all!
I moved to Essex in 2014 to study Veterinary Physiotherapy part-time, and started Hannah's Hounds from my home in Writtle.
My Australian Silky 'Dave' was 2 and a bit of a handful (understatement) when she was rehomed with me - this sparked my interest in training methods. We now compete at agility with the Essex Flyers, and I'm so proud of her!
I am insured, first aid qualified, and currently working towards Level 3 Canine Psychology and Behaviour Management.
